We have found the perfect cardigan!
Over 5 sessions we will learn everything you need to know about knitting a cardigan!
Suitable for beginner knitters comfortable with knit and purl stitch and we will show you the rest!
We will cover
- swatching gauge and tension
- increases/decreases & shaping
- picking up stitches
- buttonholes & band
- blocking & finishing
- hand stitching together
5 sessions – stay on track, get help along the way, make friends and stay warm!
What do I bring?
Make Town will provide you with a printed pattern and 5 meet ups with unlimited support on What’s App.
You will need to provide
- 4mm & 5.5mm knitting needles straight or circular – your call
- 5 buttons approx 2cm wide
- book and pencil for notes
- Chunky weight yarn/ 12 ply – tension 22 stitches – 30 rows 10cm square on 4mm needles
There are 5 sizes to choose from for yarn yardage –
- size 1 82cm bust – approx 660mts yarn
- size 2 88cm bust/ approx 880mts
- size 3 93cm bust / approx 900mt
- size 4 98cm bust / approx 1000mt
- size 5 103cm bust / approx 1100

Do I need any previous experience?
just the very basics! This workshop is designed to help you leap from a scarf to an actual garment! If you have been waiting for a sign – this is it x
Can I bring my own yarn?
yeah dude for sure! If you have some at home bring it in, we can see if it’s suitable. Check out your local yarn shops too! You will also be able to purchase items from the shop with a 10% discount
I wont be able to make all the sessions
not to worry! Learning IRL is best but life is busy, so we will run a whatsapp support group so you can tap into advice at anytime and catch up when you can x
Can I bring my kid?
Sure why not? Babies are of course welcome and if you have a kid older than 13 that wants to join then book the two of ya in and learn together!
What if I don't finish?
don’t stress! Knitting is supposed to be slow – it’s ok if you loose momentum and prioritise other things – But just like creed, we will be waiting with arms wide open for when you return x
