Knit the Sheep Jumper – September!

We love this jumper, but do not have plans to repeat this class.

However if there is enough interest we may be able to scratch something together…

This is the perfect introduction for those curious about extending their knitting knowledge with a bit of colour work into a garment!

Make Town will provide the pattern for the jumper and you just need to bring a selection of yarn!

What's the plan Stan?

4 sessions – We will meet at 6:30pm – 8:30pm

Thursday 1st Sept
Thursday 6th Oct
Thursday 3rd Nov
Thursday 1st Dec

During the sessions learn about

different fibres, yarns and weights suitable for knitting
different sizes and equipment used in knitting
how to read a chart, tension swatch, change colours, rib stitch, centre pull balls tension, how to weave in your tails and mattress stitch
how to measure and count your rows and stitches in your work
blocking and seaming your piece together

It sounds like a lot, but these are great blocks of learning that get built in a timely and engaging pace!

What do I bring?

Make Town will provide you with a printed pattern.

You will need to provide

5mm & 6mm needles
variety of Aran or chunky weight yarn approx 1000mts

Bring in your yarn stash and we can help you pick a good combo to work with! A great way to use up scraps and odds and ends of other projects.

Do I need any previous experience?

Nope! This workshop is for absolute beginners! This is a great place to start and what a wonderful pattern for your first to learn.

Can I bring my own yarn?

Yeah man for sure! This is a great stashbuster project, so bring along what you have got! You will also be able to purchase items from the shop with a 10% discount. Sweet x
