A relaxed easy fit jumpsuit, with wrap tie, pockets and a dropped shoulder with the option of sleeves.

Learn how to cut and sew the ever popular and super versatile wardrobe staple – The Zadie!

This is a relaxed and easy to wear one piece with the option of wide 3/4 length sleeves or sleeveless with a dropped shoulder. It wraps and fastens with a tie so there is no need for buttons or a zip – The legs are wide with slant pockets on the front, with small tucks at the waist on front and back.

Week One – Measuring your body, cutting out your pattern from paper. Prep and lay out your fabric and cut the cloth

Week two – Sewing your bodice with front and back pleats and complete pockets on trousers

Week three – Assembling trouser legs and joining bodice and overlocking

Week Four – Sew bias binding and finish the hems and final touches

  • MT will provide – thread, pattern, tuition and guidance.
  • You will need to bring – Medium weight woven (non stretch) Needlecord, chambray, linen prewashed!
  •  For all sizes (6 – 20)  you will need 2.75 mts – 4mts – we will be in touch to confirm

This course is suitable for beginners who have completed our ‘Learn to Sew’ short course or have other relevant basic sewing experience.

Will this class be suitable for me?

Could be?  You don’t need to be an expert but you need to be comfortable threading a sewing machine.

We recommend you have completed our ‘Learn to Sew’ short course first, and this is perfect for those looking to deepen their skillset including reading a commercial pattern.

Can I cancel my booking?

Absolutely. You are welcome to log into your account and cancel your booking for a full refund. You have up to 7 days before the start date to do this. After this period, all bookings are final.

What happens if I don't finish the jumpsuit?

Oh Rats. Thats ok, all projects take different lengths of time for different people. You are welcome to book into ‘Late night Sewing’ workshops or ‘Hire a Machine’ to complete your jumpsuit.

What is the minimum age to attend?

We are happy to host well behaved people 16+ Please ensure your teenager is able to get home safely after the class or picked up on time.

What Fabrics are suitable?

Natural fibres are best! Cotton, cotton blends, needlecord (tiny corduroy) chambray – anything not slinky and shifty. Woven Fabric – so not knit (stretchy)
